Former Celtic and Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill may be set for a return to football.

The veteran head coach, who coached teams such as Leicester City and Aston Villa, has not worked since leaving Nottingham Forest in 2019.

Per The Sun and other reports, he is set for a return to management at Rapid Bucharest in Romania.

O'Neill, who is now 72, may be ready to show that he is still one of the top brains in the sport.

One of his greatest achievements was taking Celtic to a UEFA Cup final in the early 2000s.

O'Neill did get his country to the knockout stages of Euro 2016, but eventually lost his job in 2018.
