'He’s not that smart,' Arman Tsarukyan continues tirade on one-dimensional IQ fighter Michael Chandler
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Arman Tsarukyan thinks Michael Chandler ‘s war-hungry desire for Conor McGregor will cost him direly. Tsarukyan does not consider Michael Chandler to be a very high-acumen fighter. For the third time since last year, ‘Ahalkalakets’ came up with the notion that Chandler had a poor battle strategy. Now, he calls him a “1-round” fighter.

Chandler welcomes back the Irishman in a 5-round welterweight bout, headlining UFC 303. Chandler’s latest skids came to Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje and were outlasted in both battles; Arman Tsarukyan expects the same result yet again. He has already gibed at him for having the worst battle IQ and missing 1000 punches. He now says that ‘Iron’ would be rushing it similarly yet again.

He never uses his brain, He always fights for the fans. He’s going to try to knock him out because he’s so dangerous in the first round...If it’s going to be second... or third round, he’s going to lose the fight... He’s a one-round fighter, if you can go with him in the second round you’re gonna win for sure…He’s exciting to watch, but he’s not that smart fighter...I feel like Conor, his conditioning is better and he’s smarter than Chandler. Amidst McGregor facing assault charges, Tsarukayn has dissed the fighter for waiting on for his TUF: Season 31 rival. However, Chandler chose to hurdle through with behind-the-scene assurances. ESPN MMA post-fight panelist Michael Bisping even joked that he would not let go of contending with McGregor to anybody. Now, the Armenian fighter tells Bisping that Chandler would aim to wow the fans with his performance.

Consequently, Tsarukyan thinks it would be Chandler’s downfall to end it all in one swoop. His latest taunts come at the cost of Tsarukyan’s manager, Sayat Abdurakhmanov, saying that Tsarukyan refused a quick rebound for UFC 302. Chandler accordingly advised him not to pass up a title opportunity with Islam Makhachev. Tsarukyan keeps saying he wasn’t a one-minded, one-dimensional fighter like the peer.

Arman Tsarukyan one-ups Michael Chandler’s one-mindedness, announces grappling bout in Paris

Lightweight contenders Arman Tsarukyan and Michael Chandler have been engaging in a fiery throat-slit banter this past week. Chandler was surprised when he heard the news of Tsarukyan passing up on a title shot, an opportunity he worked his way up to. ‘Ahalkalakets’ accordingly sneered back that he would not understand, being hell-bent on facing one opponent for over a year.

Contrarily, he backs his point with a dynamic display. Now comes the news that the Armenian will meet Benoît Saint-Denis in a grappling match on May 18th in Paris for ADXC 4. The fighter announced it recently on Michael Bisping’s podcast.

I'm going back to Miami, so I have I gotta wrestle a lot… because I got to compete in May 18th…versus BSD and it's a going to be grappling fight. I'm going to grapple with him…5 rounds… Arman Tsarukyan via the “Believe You Me” Podcast

Some reports suggest the grappling bout featuring Tsarukyan and BSD is not happening. As such, it’s anyone’s guess if Tsarukyan employed a mind ploy to overdo Michael Chandler dynamically. A grappling stint with streaking lightweight Benoît Saint-Denis does have its merit. However, an official confirmation from both parties could only confirm if a grappling superfight will happen or not.
