At the time of this posting, the Toronto Blue Jays lead the Oakland Athletics, 2-0.
Part of the reason that the Jays have the early lead is because of a leadoff homer from outfielder George Springer.
For Springer, that was his 11th homer of the year and it moved him up in the baseball history books.
Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

Springer did a lot of that damage from the leadoff spot during his career with the Houston Astros but has continued with Toronto after signing a six-year deal before the 2021 season.
He's hitting .263 this season with the 11 homers and 32 RBI. He's also stolen 12 bases. Lifetime, he's a .268 hitter with 232 homers and 616 RBI. He helped the Astros win the World Series in 2017 and is a four-time All-Star. He won the World Series MVP in 2017 as well.
The Blue Jays entered play on Sunday at 42-36 overall and 10.0 games back of the first-place Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East. They are currently tied with the Angels for the final spot in the American League wild card race.
The A's currently have the worst record in the majors at 20-59. They have lost nine of 10 games and are on track now to have lost 10 of 11.
The Jays will be off on Monday before hosting the red-hot San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night at Rogers Centre. First pitch is 7:07 p.m. ET.
