Here's the pitch, and it's a +726 SGP for World Series Game 5

The Texas Rangers inched one step closer to their first World Series title in franchise history with an 11-7 win against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 4. Now up 3-1 in the series, the Rangers are one win away from scheduling their first championship parade.

In what could be the final MLB game of 2023, let's ride in style with a +726 Same Game Parlay for Game 5.

World Series Game 5 Same Game Parlay

Leg 1: Under 8.5

There were 18 combined runs scored in Game 4 of the World Series, but a high-scoring affair was expected in a bullpen game for both teams. This is a much different situation with two aces, Nathan Eovaldi and Zac Gallen, on the mound. The first team to four runs will win Game 5.

Leg 2: Marcus Semien to record a hit

Semien went 2-for-5 with a home run, five RBI and two runs scored in Game 4, and he's staring down an even better matchup in Game 5. In 12 career plate appearances against Gallen, Semien is batting .455 and slugging .636. He should have no problem cracking at least one base hit.

Leg 3: Nathan Eovaldi over 4.5 strikeouts

This number doesn't make much sense. Eovaldi has started five games this postseason. He's gone over 4.5 strikeouts in four of them while averaging 7.2 Ks per start. The Rangers ace struck out eight batters in Game 1 in just 4.2 innings of work, and Texas manager Bruce Bochy will want him to go at least five innings Wednesday night.

Leg 4: Zac Gallen over 4.5 strikeouts

Gallen hasn't carried over his fantastic regular season into the playoffs. The right-hander has a 5.27 ERA in five postseason starts, and he's gone over 4.5 Ks just once. But the Diamondbacks will need Gallen to go deep in Game 5 after the Rangers depleted their bullpen in Game 4. Gallen went 12-3 with a 2.47 ERA and 7.5 strikeouts per game at home in the regular season, so we're trusting him to rediscover that magic in the biggest start of his career.

Put it all together, and we get a +726 SGP courtesy of our good friends at FanDuel.

In the news ...

Raiders fire head coach Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler — After getting embarrassed by the Detroit Lions on "Monday Night Football" this week, the Las Vegas Raiders decided it was time to clean house. Early Wednesday morning, the Raiders fired McDaniels and Ziegler just eight weeks into the NFL season. LB coach Antonio Pierce will serve as the interim head coach, and assistant general manager Champ Kelly will take over as the interim GM. If you believe in the interim HC bump, the Raiders are +1200 to make the playoffs.

Ohio State earns No. 1 spot in first College Football Playoff rankings — The first College Football Playoff rankings of the season dropped Tuesday night, and Ohio State grabbed the No. 1 spot thanks to its wins against Penn State and Notre Dame. Georgia, Michigan and Florida State make out the rest of the top four, while Washington and Oregon are the first two teams on the outside looking in. Although OSU would be the No. 1 seed if the CFP started this week, Michigan and Georgia are the co-favorites to win the national title at +240.

49ers land Chase Young; Vikings add Josh Dobbs at NFL trade deadline — The NFL trade deadline has come and gone, and we now have a better sense of which teams are going all in and which teams are essentially giving up on the season. The Washington Commanders belong to the latter group after trading Chase Young to the San Francisco 49ers and Montez Sweat to the Chicago Bears. On the other end of the spectrum, the Minnesota Vikings aren't ready to call off the season after Kirk Cousins' season-ending injury, so they traded for Dobbs to help lead them to the playoffs. The Kansas City Chiefs remained quiet through the deadline, but they're still the +500 Super Bowl favorites.
